LEADERSHIP:
Program Director: Ava King
K-2nd Grade Program Manager: Jessica Morton
3-5th Grade Program Manager: Aja Thompson
6-8th Grade Program Manager: Daphne Gilliam

OVERVIEW:
The I-Rise after-school program runs 4 days a week from Monday to Thursday and works with elementary through high school-aged children on homework completion, reading and math skills, social development and Christian character development so that the children are able to be at grade level and be successful in school.
Homework Tutorial
Students start the day by meeting with high-quality tutors who ensure that students understand the complete their homework on a daily basis. The tutor to student ratio is never more than 2:1, and is 1:1 for students with high needs.
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES:
Monday – Thursday 4pm – 6pm
-
Tutors – work with one or two children a week to help them understand and complete their homework. Tutoring takes place between 4:15 – 5:15 and only 1 hour a week is required.
-
Instructors – we are always looking for people with specialized talents to share their experiences with our children. If you have a skill and passion for something that you would love to teach the children, we would love to have you work with us. Our enrichment programs usually run from 5pm – 6pm once a week and we currently offer drama, art, environmental sciences, sports, and computer.
